Description & instructions

A (open chord - diagram 1/2) The primarily difficulty with this chord is to make room for all fingers that are pressing down the three strings. Since it generally can be hard to get a clean sound a string if the finger can't be placed near the fret, some prefer instead to bar all three strings with one finger. Doing this, you will probably mute the 1st string, but that's okay.

Finger positions

A (open chord) There are many possible finger positions, this is one way to play the chord:

  • Index finger on 4th string, 2nd fret
  • Middle finger on 3rd string, 2nd fret
  • Ring finger on 2nd string, 2nd fret.

This is one recommended fingering, although alternatives can be possible.
