D major) Since the ukulele is tuned as G C E A, the A-string are played open making the tone order A, D, F#, A. Even that the lowest string (the G-string) could be left out, the standard way to play it is with four tones in this way.
D7) In comparison to the major chord, also the C-string is played open, making the tone order A, C, F#, A.
Dmaj7) In comparison to the dominant seventh chord, the C-string is fretted, making the tone order A, C#, F#, A.
Dm) Almost the same shape as in the major chord, the to the major chord, but the E-string should be fingered on the second fret instead of the third. The tone order is A, D, F, A.
Dm7) Only difference to Dm is that finger on the C-string is placedon a open string.
